Rosie O’Donnell’s ‘The Rosie Show’ To End; Final Episode To Air March 30

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show is ending.

On Friday evening, the Oprah Winfrey Network announced that “The Rosie Show” will tape its final episode on Tuesday, March 20. The final episode will air, Friday, March 30.

Rosie O’Donnell returns to TV this fall with “The Rosie Show” on OWN, and the talk show star promises it will be a whole new experience for viewers.

“There will be a famous guest, maybe once a show, or sprinkled throughout. It’s not going to be the same kind of show that I did before, where somebody has a movie to promote and they come in and they do seven minutes,” Rosie told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the Television Critics Association Summer 2011 Session in Beverly Hills on Friday.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.

Oprah Winfrey made a surprise appearance at the Television Critics Association Summer 2011 Session in Beverly Hills on Friday to introduce her newest member of her Oprah Winfrey Network staff, Rosie O’Donnell.

The new Chief Executive Officer of OWN – Oprah herself – flew in from Hawaii especially to give the returning talk show host, who will helm “The Rosie Show,” beginning October 10 at 7 PM ET/PT, a warm welcome.
