LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Heart, passion. It’s what drives the spirit and revives others!

When you see the performers on the show, you don’t key in on the big stage, the bright lights aren’t overpowering, you don’t even key in on us judges.

For that moment, you don’t care about anything but looking at the groups pouring their hearts out on each performance! And while watching, you become enthralled into the sounds coming through your TV screen.

You may not know why you don’t turn the channel if this is your first time watching. You may be even embarrassed because to your other friends it may look a bit “cheesy.” But what drives this show is what drives us all: heart, passion.

I’m in the music business, but I’m also a fan of music, and what I love the most is witnessing an artist, whether a new jack or a veteran of the game, give a performance that after you leave, you suddenly feel changed.

I’m not a fan of too much production on a stage. Don’t get me wrong, I like a show with a few bells and whistles, but these days performers tend to use it as a crutch. I love the purity of “The Sing-Off”!

As I watch each group, I’m inspired. In a world unhealthily obsessed and saturated with reality TV squabbles and scandals, flooded with reminders of financial disparity, drained from all that the world services us, isn’t it nice to know that you can turn on your TV and observe heart, passion?

It’s a reason why people admire athletes: they give us an example of wanting something so bad, they test the limits of their own bodies, sacrifice so much to reach a certain goal!

I don’t want to over dramatize the point. But I’ve witnessed since being on this show the same dedication, heart, and passion as a professional athlete!

We don’t base this movement on over-hyped promos or unnecessary sound effects in between edits! It’s singing, harmony, purity!

Watch and bear witness to heart, passion!
