For the second night in a row, they saved the best for last on NBC’s “The Voice.”

The top talent (so far) from Team Blake, 16-year-old country darling Danielle Bradbery, and from Team Shakira, powerhouse vocalist Sasha Allen, closed out Tuesday night’s second live round of Season 4 with a pair of stunning performances.

Those who’ve been watching all season long know Danielle impressed Blake from the very start of the competition, and once he was her coach, she used his advice to take down all of her competitors in the knockout rounds. And on Tuesday, after performing the Pam Tillis country classic, “Maybe It Was Memphis,” she got the kind of praise from the coaches usually reserved for much, much later in the competition.

Adam Levine, whose team performed on Monday, said she left him a little scared.

“I feared this happening because you’re not on my team,” he told the performer, by way of a compliment. “As much as it pains me to flatter that dude over there — [Blake] — I think you’re one of the ones to beat. You’re are one of the best singers in the competition.”

Blake went a little further with his compliments for his own performer.

“Danielle is one of the most important artists who’s ever been on ‘The Voice,” he stated. “You’re gonna see [her] career develop from this thing.”

It should have been hard for Sasha to follow a singer who received those kinds of verbal accolades, but she nailed the final performance of the night — covering The Beatles’ “Oh Darling.”

Soulful and passionate, her rendition of the number prompted both Blake and Usher to laugh at Adam, who let her go in an earlier round.

Shakira — who stole Sasha — couldn’t have been prouder.

“You have one of the best voices that I’ve ever heard in my life,” she told Sasha.

While the two women were major hits with the coaches, one of the men on the show – Justin Rivers – stepped up to the plate and hit a home run for Team Blake, covering Diamond Rio’s “Meet In the Middle.”

With his stage swag on display, the country singer hit all the right notes with the coaches.

“There’s a country artist now that’s like, genuinely a threat to Blake’s career. That’s awesome,” Adam laughed.

Blake admitted Justin had “been the dark horse in the competition.” But, Tuesday’s performance was “kind of a big moment.”Here’s what happened with the rest of the performers on Tuesday’s “The Voice”:

Team Shakira’s Garrett Gardner performed John Lennon’s “Imagine”

Adam complimented the teen for showing off “a different side,” and Blake said the young man was not only a “heartthrob” but had “a beast” inside who comes out when he performs.

Team Shakira’s Kris Thomas performed Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man”

Team Blake’s The Swon Brothers performed The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ In The Dark”

Adam said the boys did a “fantastic job,” while Blake had a laugh at “how many people across this land, right now, are going, ‘Holy crap! Those guys just did ‘Fishin’ In The Dark’ on the frickin’ ‘Voice.’ That is bad-ass.’”

Team Shakira’s Karina Iglesias performed the Al Green classic “Let’s Stay Together”

Adam admitted he regretted not having kept Karina on his team, something Blake was happy to hear. “I’m just glad to hear Adam actually come out and be honest about completely screwing up like that,” Blake laughed. Shakira told Karina she gave a powerful performance and showed off her “sassiness” and “strength.”
