Authorities say Lindsay Lohan’s father has been arrested again.

Police on New York’s Long Island say Michael Lohan was arrested Thursday morning and charged with criminal contempt. Police did not provide further details.

Fans of BBC America’s sci-fi TV imports may be interested to hear that acccording to the The Hollywood Reporter, FOX is planning to develop an American version of “Torchwood” (which itself is the BBC spin off of “Dr. Who”).

And in an interview with MTV Splash, “Green Lantern” director Martin Campbell dispelled online fan hopes of a Superman cameo making it into the big screen adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds.

Stuart Townsend Departs Marvel’s ‘Thor’; Joshua Dallas Takes Over Role

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

Stuart Townsend has departed Marvel Comics’ movie adaptation of “Thor” because of creative differences, according to sources close to the production.

Townsend had been cast as Fandral, an ally of Norse god Thor. He was replaced by Joshua Dallas, according to the two sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record.

Tobey Maguire doesn’t think “Spider-Man 4” has become a tangled mess.

The 34-year-old star of the web-slinging superhero franchise said preproduction snags aren’t dampening his mood about the fourth installment. The next “Spider-Man” film had been scheduled to swing into theaters May 6, 2011, but that seems unlikely now that “Thor,” another big-screen Marvel superhero adaptation, has hammered out the same release date.

Russo has joined the cast of Paramount’s take on Marvel’s “Thor,” according to Variety.

“It’s not raunchy – it’s extreme,” she said of a lesbian scene reportedly with co-star Mila Kunis in the 2010 drama.
