Tila Tequila: Ellen & Portia’s Marriage Is ‘Awesome’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Tila Tequila’s glad that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are getting a shot at marriage.

“I thought it was awesome,” the reality star told Us Weekly. “I was really excited when I heard about it, and the fact that they are openly out there. They look so happy together.”

The longtime couple wed on Saturday at their Beverly Hills home.

“It’s great that people are able to marry each other whether you are gay or straight,” Tila, who is bisexual, said.

Her show, “A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila,” features both male and female contestants competing for her attentions.

Though she was rejected by Kristy on the season 2 finale, Tila’s found an off-camera romance in Courtenay Semel. The couple has reportedly been dating for six months.

“We met through mutual friends. She was a fan of my show, and we decided to meet up and just hit it off,” Tila said. “With another girl, you never have to worry about how you look in the morning because we both look sh----y, and it’s fine.”

“I thought she was a party girl — but she is not!” Tila – whose stage surname comes from her love of the alcoholic beverage – added. “She will actually stay home with me, which is awesome.”

For Semel’s part, finding Tila was a shot of good luck.

“I was asking for a positive light to come into my life and she just walked in,” Semel said.
