Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host the Golden Globes, kicking off tonight on NBC, and they offered a few hints at what to expect.
“It’s not the kind of show that you can really rehearse that much for,” Tina told Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Golden Globes Arrival Special” on Sunday night. “There aren’t a lot of showgirl-filled musical numbers. We do get pretty naked.”
“Yes,” Amy chimed in. “We read a lot of slow like poetry that we’ve written. No, we’ve wrote our jokes, we’ve rehearsed our jokes, we’re ready to go. We’re excited.”
There has been talk of a drinking game for viewers 21 and up and Tina explained how it works.
“The rules are whatever you want them to be: If someone cries during a speech, you take a drink, if someone’s boob falls out of their dress…” Tina said.
“Yep, or frankly if you just had a tough week… you take a drink,” Amy said.
“Or, if someone thanks Harvey Weinstein, you eat a meatball sub,” Tina said.
The Golden Globes air tonight at 8 PM ET 5 PM PT on NBC.
