Tina Fey wins the Emmy for Best Actress in a Comedy Series

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Tina Fey has been a ratings sensation with her hilarious impersonation of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on “Saturday Night Live,” but don’t count on her continuing to don her up-do and pink power suit — especially if Palin is victorious come November.
“We’re gonna take it week by week. If she wins, I’m done,” she told TV Guide. “I can’t do that for four years. And by ‘I’m done,’ I mean I’m leaving Earth.”
Assuming Tina doesn’t get permission from NASA to use the Space Shuttle as a U-Haul, “SNL” could enjoy more ratings gold if Tina decided to do Palin again.
“Election time is always good for [SNL] and this is a bonkers election,” she said. “And that lady is a media star.”
Though Tina pokes fun at the Alaska governor, the “30 Rock” star says she does have admiration for her.
“She is a fascinating person, she’s very likeable. She’s fun to play,” Tina said. “The two bits with Amy [Poehler], that was super fun.”
In addition to her beloved Palin impression, Tina won three Emmy awards for her writing and starring role as Liz Lemon on NBC’s “30 Rock” and reportedly has a book deal in the works.
