Sherlock Holmes has never been out of fashion, but he’s getting a modern twist in primetime when “Elementary” heads to CBS this fall, starring Jonny Lee Miller.
“I looked at the books a lot and started to immerse myself in the books,” Jonny told Access Hollywood on Wednesday in New York City as he hit the red carpet at the CBS Upfronts presentation. “You [kind of] cover them with Post-It notes and stuff like that; you try and see all the wonderful things that are still there that are timeless about this character and all the things that we could bring to it or make similar and change and I loved it.”

The Deep South drama “The Help” won three prizes Sunday at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, including best actress for Viola Davis and supporting actress for Octavia Spencer.
“The Help” also claimed the guild’s ensemble award, the show’s equivalent of a best-picture prize.
Meanwhile on the TV side, “Modern Family,” “Boardwalk Empire” and Alec Baldwin were big winners!

LOS ANGELES, Calif.
Larry Hagman said his recent cancer diagnosis hasn’t kept him from being a full part of the “Dallas” reboot coming to TNT this summer.
“They gave me a little time off, but in this business, you can shoot three or four shows at the same time,” Hagman told reporters on Saturday at the Television Critics Association Winter Session in Pasadena, Calif.
