SAN ANTONIO, Texas --
If Eva Longoria Parker is pregnant, it’s news to her husband – NBA star Tony Parker.
“Not for the moment,” Tony told Le Parisien. “Eva and I talk about it but with our careers it isn’t the right moment.”
The couple has been forced to fend off baby bump rumors of late, but if they had been looking to start a family, it may have been the perfect time since Eva found herself with some time on her hands thanks to the writer’s strike.
"Right now, we're enjoying the young married life. Because of the writers' strike, Eva has spent a lot of the last three months with me in San Antonio. When she's working, we see each other less,” the San Antonio Spurs star added.
Of course, now that it appears the strike is set to end this week, that will likely change.
But for Tony, 2007 was a “fabulous” year for the most part – at least until his name popped up in December with allegations he had cheated on Eva with a French model.
“It’s the most bizarre episode in my life,” the 25-year-old Parker told Le Parisien, who added he was “shocked” to find himself involved in such a scandal.
And despite the claims by French model Alexandra Paressant, Eva stood by her man through it all.
“Tony has been nothing short of the perfect husband,” she said at the time.
For the mild-mannered Tony (who is a three-time NBA champ with the Spurs), the allegations served as a wake up call of what life can be like in the spotlight.
"What shocked me the most was the wickedness of people," he added. "Without doubt, I'm going to have to protect myself a little more."
