Katy Perry is on a roll.
After spending spring and summer re-writing the record books with the seven-week Billboard Hot 100 #1 single “I Kissed A Girl,” the follow-up single “Hot N Cold,” now bulleted at No. 13 nationally, and the RIAA gold-certified album “One of the Boys,” Capitol Records pop/rock phenom Katy Perry takes one more dive into pop culture iconography with a doll created in her likeness.

Looking to stay calm, I was eager to hear more and the latest work from this Australian-born singer. Her fourth studio album, “Some People Have Real Problems,” is just as intense and is filled with melancholy, wit and a bit of quirkiness.
