Co-founded by Robert De Niro after Sept. 11 to help heal his Manhattan neighborhood, the festival had previously enjoyed a thankful reception. But as it expanded further into New York and the number of screenings quintupled, some began to resent Tribeca’s growth into the already crowded festival circuit.

The magazine has confirmed that the band will make an official anouncement at a Los Angeles press conference sometime next week. The band lineup will reportedly include original members David Lee Roth on vocals, Eddie Van Halen on guitar, and Alex Van Halen on drums. Eddie’s son, Wolfgang Van Halen, will play bass — he took over for the band’s original bassist, Mark Anthony, in 2006. The tour will hit arenas this fall. This will mark Van Halen’s first successful reunion attempt with Roth since 1984. Vocals had been provided by both Sammy Hagar and Gary Charone over the years since Roth’s departure.

USA TODAY spoke with Cross and Strong about their co-star Eva Longoria’supcoming wedding in France, and Cross said she was “still undecided” about whether she would attend, due to recently giving birth to twins. Strong, who narrates “Housewives” as the deceased Mary Alice Young,reportedly said she will be at the wedding, and already has selected a gift — a secret piece to be inscribed with the vows Longoria will recite to her fiancé, San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker. No Tupperware for Longoria, Strong joked: “I have a feeling Eva and Tony have about everything they could ever wish for right about now.”
