‘Twilight’s’ Robert Pattinson Chops His Trademark Locks

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

As bloodcurdling screams were heard round the vampire-loving world, “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson cut off his trademark tousled locks.

Robert has amassed legions of hardcore fans, known has Twi-Hards, many of whom swoon for his sexy coif. But, will they still be bloodthirsty for his new look?

In November, Robert told AccessHollywood.com, “I’ve gone deaf!” from the screams from his admirers at the Los Angeles premiere of his movie.

The humble 22-year-old seemed to think the hysteria was about his character and not himself.

“Well, they’re in love with the character,” he continued. “I really don’t claim anything… Everyone always says, ‘I’m in love with you’ and I’m like, ‘Why?’”

No word if Robert’s character, Edward, will be sporting the new short ‘do in the next film, but with less than three months before filming on the next movie starts (unless a wig or extensions are used), it appears vampires will be making short hair the new sexy hair trend.
