How Is Access Hollywood using Twitter?
Good question. There are a lot of different ways that Twitter can be used. Unlike many other social networking platforms, Twitter isn't as much about two-way conversations as it is about one-way dissemination of information.
You can follow Access Hollywood on Twitter by setting up an account at Twitter.com, and following us at Twitter.com/Access Hollywood. On this feed, you can stay on top of all of the Breaking News stories posted to AccessHollywood.com.
Additionally, you can follow the Twitter feeds of our hosts and producers as individuals.
These "Tweets" will also display periodically in rotation in our "Twicker" (Twitter Ticker) at the top of the home page of AccessHollywood.com.
Our Tweets tend to focus on observation and opinion about events in the news. We do not use Twitter for breaking news. For that, it's important to keep checking AccessHollywood.com's Breaking News feed.
So far, Nancy O'Dell, Billy Bush and Tony Potts are actively Twittering, and we hope to have Maria Menounos and Shaun Robinson up soon too!
Our hosts have already to date Twittered live from the Oscars, backstage at "Dancing With the Stars," and at huge film premieres. We're excited about what we might do with Twitter in the future – both on air and online.
