LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Will Quentin Tarantino make his “Kill Bill” series a trilogy?

The “Inglourious Basterds” director said he’s planning on it during a recent appearance on the Italian talk show “Parla con Me” – but he’s waiting until 2014.

“The Bride will fight again,” he said of Uma Thurman’s heroine from the violent 2003 and 2004 films.

But why the wait?

“One, I think me and Uma needed a 10-year break,” Quentin said. “And the second one, I love the character and I think she deserves 10 years of peace. She deserves 10 years of no fighting, she deserves 10 years with her child, Beebe. I put her through a lot in those first two movies and I just want her to have a nice peaceful life for 10 years.”

In 2004, upon the release of “Kill Bill 2,” the director revealed he had a third movie in mind for the next decade.

“I have plans, actually not right away, but like in 15 years from now, I’ll do a third version of this saga,” he said at a press conference at the time, according to The Associated Press.
