LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Zac Efron’s friends threw the “High School Musical 3” star a 21st birthday party Saturday that started with a two-hour dinner and ended with a hotel party.

Zac’s celebration started at LA’s Pace restaurant with guests that reportedly included his family, girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, and “HSM” co-stars Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman, People reported.

Along with those family and co-stars, Michelle Trachtenberg, Amanda Bynes, Brittany Snow and sisters Aly and AJ Michalka also helped Zac celebrate.

Guests reportedly arrived with presents that included bottles of liquor for the newly turned 21-year-old.

Zac and Vanessa reportedly left Pace around midnight and headed to a local hotel to continue the celebration.

“We are laid-back people,” Vanessa told Access last week when asked what she was planning for Zac’s birthday at the “High School Musical 3” premiere last Thursday. “It’s a surprise. That’s the most you are gonna get out of me.”
