Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Jessica Simpson Hoping To Get Holy Schooled: Is Jessica Simpson about to become a coed – in religious studies? “I’ve been contemplating taking a college course in religion,” she told Marie Claire, as reported by the New York Post’s Page Six. “I love religion. I remember whenever the book ‘The Da Vinci Code’ came out, the Discovery Channel did this three-night piece on it that I TiVo’d and then watched eight times.” Does she realize her class won’t involve traipsing around Europe with a longhaired Tom Hanks?

Victoria Beckham Slams Her Own Skills: Possibly saying what we’ve all been thinking since The Spice Girls “Zig-a-zig-ahed” into our hearts, Victoria Beckham told Britain’s The Sun, “I was never that good a singer, but I think I am good at fashion.” Posh also admitted she can’t draw, adding: “But I know how a dress should sit.” Can’t sing and she sells millions, can’t draw – no big deal – yet we expect to see Posh frocks on people everywhere by next spring.

Lance On Brit’s “Comeback”: In more pre-recorded backing track news, Lance Bass thinks Britney’s new album and tour will rocket her back to the top. “This is going to be the biggest comeback of all time,” Lance told People Monday during a party in his honor at New York’s Citrine. “She’s doing an amazing job right now and I’m so proud of her.”

Old Brit Pal Still Banned: And speaking of Brit’s pals – whatever happened to Brit’s constant right hand girl Alli Sims? “I can’t talk to her right now,” Alli told E! Online when asked if Brit’s dad, Jamie Spears, had her legally removed from the pop star’s life. “Maybe that will change at some point.” Despite the schism from Brit, Alli still wished her a happy birthday saying, “I hope she has a great birthday… Happy birthday. I love you.”
