Weezer Singer Injured In Bus Accident

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Rivers Cuomo of Weezer on October 27, 2009Weezer singer Rivers Cuomo was injured in a bus accident on Sunday, according to CNN.

The site reported that the rocker was en route to a performance in Boston, Massachusetts, when the bus hit some ice on the New York State Thruway and crashed.

Rivers and a second injured passenger were transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, New York. The singer was reportedly experiencing rib pain.

His wife and daughter and a fifth passenger were not harmed in the accident.

Weezer is promoting its latest album, “Raditude.”
