According to Deadline, the actress – who was previously attached to a reboot of “Annie” – is no longer moving forward with the project.

Willow, daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith (whose Overbrook Entertainment is producing the project), signed on to play the iconic orphan when she was just 9 years old, but has since outgrown the role.

Director Will Gluck, whose past credits include “Easy A” and “Friends With Benefits,” has been brought on to helm the project.

Back in February 2011, Willow told Access Hollywood that she hoped Brad Pitt would play her Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks.
