LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Wilmer Valderrama’s career has officially gone to the dogs.

The former “That ‘70s Show” actor is set to star in a new FOX sitcom based on the work of “Dog Whisperer” Caesar Millan, according to Variety.

Although details are still being finalized, Wilmer would likely play the lead character based on Millan, who has parlayed his canine cunning into the National Geographic series “The Dog Whisperer,” which debuted in 2004.

“Hung” co-executive producer Emily Kapnek is on board to write and executive produce the half-hour series.

While most recognized for his role as Fez on “That ‘70s Show,” Wilmer’s other credits include the movies “Summer Catch,” “Unaccompanied Minors” and “Fast Food Nation.”

He also recently lent his voice to the Disney animated series “Handy Manny.”
