LONDON, U.K. --

Winona Ryder was hospitalized in London on Wednesday, a rep for the actress confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“She was on a flight from Los Angeles to London and felt ill. She felt better when she landed but as a pre-cautionary measure, they took her to the hospital,” Ryder’s rep, Mara Buxbaum, told Access.

Ryder, 37, was aboard a British Airways flight when the captain of the plane requested a priority landing for a sick passenger, a spokesperson for the airline told Access. However, they would not confirm the passenger was Ryder.

“The captain of flight from LA to Heathrow requested priority landing as a female passenger required medical attention. The passenger was taken to local hospital for treatment and our cabin crew looked after the female passenger as much as they could on board and passenger services staff also accompanied her to the local hospital,” the British Airways spokesperson explained. “We wish her well.”

According to Ryder’s rep, the actress is now “in good health.”

“She was treated at the hospital for one hour and released,” Buxbaum added.

Ryder’s film credits include “Girl, Interrupted,” “Edward Scissorhands” and “Little Women.” She also appears in the upcoming J.J. Abrams blockbuster “Star Trek.”
