The mutant body count in the new trailer for “X-Men: Days of Future Past” appears to ticking away after the Sentinels (mutant-hunting robots) are unleashed – including Halle Berry’s Storm character.
“So many battles waged over the years, but none of them like this,” Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier says as the trailer opens on a bleak ravaged world.
In the latest clip from Marvel’s mutant saga, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is sent back in time in an attempt to alter the present, which has been overrun by Sentinels, thanks to Boliver Trask, played by “Games of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage.
The past and the present is thrown together in an epic war with appearances by Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page and a slew of other mutant favorites.
“I don’t want your future,” James McAvoy (as the young Charles Xavier) screams followed by a shot of the White House exploding and young Xavier coming face to face with old Xavier.
Will the X-Men live on or will the Sentinels wipe them out? Find out on May 23!
