Zac Efron was reportedly attacked over the weekend in downtown Los Angeles.
The 26-year-old actor and his bodyguard were allegedly involved in an altercation with a group of individuals after their car ran out of gas.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told Access Hollywood that an incident occurred on Sunday at 2:25 AM at Temple Street and the 110 Freeway between two white males and two homeless individuals after the car the two males were driving ran out of gas – however, they could not confirm the identity of those involved.
Efron was reportedly hit in the face after he got out of the car to help his bodyguard, but no arrests were made in the incident as it was reportedly deemed “mutual combat” by authorities.
Authorities told Access that no one was injured during the Sunday night incident.
A rep for the actor was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access on Thursday.
In September, Efron revealed that he completed a rehab stint earlier in 2013 and in November of the same year, the actor suffered a broken jaw after falling in his house.
