LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
“Chuck” star Zachary Levi has a new mission – another season with NBC.
The computer geek-turned-super spy comedy will return to the schedule with 13 new episodes next fall, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The network had revealed its new primetime lineup for 2009-10 earlier this month, picking up six new series. However, the fate of “Chuck” remained unknown at the time.
When Access Hollywood caught up with Zach at the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” premiere in late April, the star said he was hopeful his show would be coming back.
“My gut feeling is good. It’s optimistic, it’s positive,” Zach told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman. “Everybody at the network has shows us a lot of love over the last couple of years and our fan base is dedicated and true.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, new shows headed to NBC include the dramas “Trauma,” “Parenthood,” “Mercy” and the event series “Day One,” as well as two new comedies, including “Community” and “100 Questions.”
Two of NBC’s freshman series will also return — the new LA cop drama “Southland” and the Amy Poehler laugher “Parks and Recreation.”
Previously announced series pickups include “The Office,” “30 Rock,” “The Biggest Loser,” “The Celebrity Apprentice,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Friday Night Lights,” and new alternative series “The Marriage Ref,” “Breakthrough With Tony Robbins” and “Who Do You Think You Are?”
