As the Jesse James alleged infidelity scandal continues to grow, focus has shifted to the past.
In a revealing interview nearly a year ago, on Howard Stern’s SIRIUS XM Radio show, around the same time Michelle “Bombshell” McGee claims she had an 11-month affair with Jesse, the former “Monster Garage” star spoke about his sex life with wife Sandra Bullock.
“I didn’t start living until now,” Jesse said.
“Less or more?” Howard asked of the couple’s sex life.
“Just the right amount,” Jesse said.
“So did she lay down any rules?” Howard continued.
“I think there’s a certain level of respect,” he said. “If you love someone and respect them, you don’t have to lay down rules.”
As for finances, according to Jesse, he and Sandra kept them all totally separate.
“You know, I pay my bills, she pays hers,” he said.
When Howard recalled his one-time meeting with Sandra, which he said lasted for “two seconds,” and hinted he would have been interested in her, Jesse hinted back he was honored Sandra picked him for a husband.
“Well, she’s married to me so it’s got to give guys like you hope because I’m just a knucklehead like you,” he said.
Jesse also opened up at the time about finding love with Sandra, but he revealed she wasn’t his usual type.
“She’s amazing and beautiful, but I would never go for that type of girl. I’ve always liked, you know, kind of… blondes with big boobs,” he continued. “You know, ‘I’ll take that one.’”
Jesse said that Sandra was the first woman that really made him think.
“I’ve never put any thoughts into any woman I’ve been with other than superficial features,” he told Howard. “I never, ever thought, ‘Hey, that looks like someone good I could spend time with,’… But this… something triggered in my head and I was like, ‘Wow… she’s smart, and she looks you in the eye when she talks to you.’”
“And she ain’t bad looking,” Howard said.
“Yeah, so I kind of contacted her assistant and said, ‘Hey, I want to ask her out,’” Jesse said. “Then I asked her out and she said, ‘No.’”
Jesse said he eventually got to a point where he started e-mailing Sandra. Coincidentally, two of the women that have claimed to have had affairs with Jesse suggested he courted them over the internet.
“I had her email address that she gave me, and we just started going back and forth and it was the first time ever in any relationship that I ever have been in that was like a courtship,” he said of his e-mails with his future wife.
