21 Jump Street Sequel Gets Release Date

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will be back in their police uniforms and up on the big screen next summer!

The recently announced “21 Jump Street” sequel has received a release date.

Channing shared the news via his Instagram account early Friday morning, posting a photo of himself and Jonah as Jenko and Schmidt, with the caption “It’s official! Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will be back in uniform again when the sequel to ’21 Jump Street’ hits theaters on June 13, 2014! ‘LIKE’ if you can’t wait to see what Korean Jesus has been up to. ;-)”

Michael Bacall (who penned the first film, as well as “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World”) is writing the screenplay.

Dave Franco, whose character (Eric Molson) was presumably sent to prison at the end of “21 Jump Street,” may return in some form for the sequel.

“I’ve heard little things… They claim I’ll be around,” the actor told Collider in a recent interview. “Who knows how much they can use me because I’m in jail at this point, but I’m hoping they can find a creative way to have me be a pivotal part of the story.”
