Show Description

Developed exclusively for TV One by the producers of “Access Hollywood,” TV ONE ACCESS is a monthly hour-long show and also provides TV One viewers with daily entertainment news updates. The show is hosted by Shaun Robinson and Jamal Munnerlyn and the senior production team responsible for TV ONE ACCESS consists of Executive Producer Rob K. Silverstein, and Senior Producers Monique Chenault and Claudia Eaton.

In addition to bringing viewers behind the velvet rope for an inside look at who’s who in Black Hollywood, TV ONE ACCESS is also dedicated to covering important issues affecting Black America. The show recently received “The Missing and the Media” award from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism recognizing their contributions to the understanding of race and ethnicity in America.

Shaun Robinson is the weekend co-anchor and correspondent for ?Access Hollywood,? the daily entertainment newsmagazine show currently in its tenth season of providing the most comprehensive coverage of entertainment news and personalities on television.

Robinson is also the host of TV ONE ACCESS, a monthly hour-long show bringing viewers behind the velvet rope for an inside look at who’s who in Black Hollywood, TV ONE ACCESS is also dedicated to covering important issues affecting Black America.

During her tenure at ?Access Hollywood,? Robinson has interviewed the top stars in Hollywood and has covered the red carpet for the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys and Grammy Awards. In addition, Robinson co-hosted the pre-shows for the 2002 and 2006 Golden Globes and the 2003 and 2005 Academy Awards. She was also recently named “Sexiest Female TV Personality” on Victoria’s Secret’s 2006 “What is Sexy?” list. She has also been featured in the fashion pages of ?In Style,? ?Us Weekly,? “Ebony,” ?Essence? and was named as one of ?Honey? magazine’s “Hot 100.?

In addition to her on-air duties, Robinson has represented ?Access Hollywood? as a co-host for NBC?s network coverage of the 2004 Tournament of Roses Parade, the Hollywood segment of the UNICEF Telethon, and most recently, the 2005 ShoWest Awards. In addition, she served as a presenter for the “Latin Grammy Awards,” ?Soul Train Awards,? the ?Lady of Soul Awards,? and the ?Stellar Gospel Awards.? An award-winning journalist, Robinson’s live coverage of “A Grand Night in Harlem” for the Black Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame garnered her an Emmy award. Her television and film credits include cameo appearances in ?Bruce Almighty,? ?America?s Sweethearts,? ?Dr. DoLittle 2,? ?Charmed,? ?She Spies,? ?The Parkers,? ?The Proud Family,? ?Half & Half,? and ?Any Day Now.?

Robinson?s professional career began in the Midwest as a medical reporter and weekend anchor for WISN-TV in Milwaukee, WI, where her series on ?Women and Cancer? garnered her an Associated Press Award. She also served as host of the daily talk show, ?Milwaukee’s Talking.? Robinson later joined KEYE-TV in Austin, TX, as a reporter and anchor where her series ?Profiles in Power,? focusing on women who made an impact in Central Texas, earned Robinson an American Women in Radio and Television award. In addition, she interviewed several inmates on death row at the notorious Huntsville Prison.

Before joining ?Access Hollywood,? Robinson was a reporter and anchor for WSVN-TV in Miami, FL. During her tenure there, Robinson anchored coverage of both the Clinton impeachment hearings and of Hurricane George, which devastated the Florida Keys. She also traveled to Oklahoma to profile survivors of the Oklahoma City bombing.

Off the red carpet, Robinson devotes her time to fulfilling her role as the Los Angeles County spokesperson for the “Share Your Heart, Share Your Home” program, which helps to find permanent homes for African-American children waiting for adoption.

Robinson is a native of Detroit, Michigan and a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta.

Jamal Munnerlyn
Co-Host
TV One Access

Jamal Munnerlyn is the co-host for “TV One Access,” the monthly hour-long entertainment newsmagazine show that takes viewers inside Black Hollywood with a unique and comprehensive perspective. Munnerlyn joined “TV One Access” at its inception in 2004 as a producer and was named co-host in 2006. In addition to his duties at ?TV One Access,? Munnerlyn is also a segment producer for “Access Hollywood,” the daily entertainment newsmagazine show currently in its tenth season.
During his tenure at ?Access Hollywood,? Munnerlyn has covered many high profile events, including the American Music Awards, Grammys, and the NAACP Image Awards. He has also traveled across the globe to interview some of the biggest stars in film, music and television.

Prior to joining ?TV One Access” and “Access Hollywood” Munnerlyn worked on a wide array of entertainment projects including several international film and commercial projects. From production to prop making to stuntman, Munnerlyn has a broad range of first-hand experience throughout the industry.

The multi-talented host and producer spent most of his life in Long Beach, CA, but was born in Newark, New Jersey and also spent years growing up in Puerto Rico and St. Croix U.S.V.I. Munnerlyn, who is African American and Puerto Rican speaks fluent Spanish.
