Access Discovers: Robin Thicke

In our series Access Discovers, brought to you by Windex, we find out nothing shines brighter than a rising star.

?I am totally comfortable with anything that has to do with sex,? says soul crooner Robin Thicke.

No doubt he is a Casanova. Ultra-sexy newcomer Thicke has crooned his way to the top of the charts and into ladies? hearts with his sultry single ?Lost Without You.?

Sorry girls! Robin is taken.

His provocative video for the song stars Robin?s wife, stunning actress Paula Patton (“Deja Vu”). In addition to being his soul mate, Patton is also Robin?s high school sweetheart.

?We have been together a very long time and she is my best friend and my muse,? he told Access Hollywood. ?[She is] the inspiration in my whole life without question.?

True inspiration connects with listeners. ?Lost Without U? topped four R&B/Hip-hop charts simultaneously. The last time a white artist achieved that feat was George Michael over a decade ago.

While 30-year-old Robin is a fresh face on the music scene, his last name rings a bell.

As Alan Thicke?s son, Robin has had a few perks, like a childhood appearance on ?Growing Pains,? but a famous father can create issues for an aspiring artist.

?My last name definitely hurt me,? Robin admitted. ?I want people to hear my music and think of their own lives and instead they are seeing the dad from ?Growing Pains? when they are hearing my song.?

Now however, Robin?s soulful singing is on the radar in its own right and next week he?ll reach an even bigger audience with a performance on ratings dominator, ?American Idol.?

?This is the kind of opportunity we all wish for you know as artists,? he said.
