Access On The Scene: Lindsay Lohan’s Latest Day In Court

Lindsay Lohan returned to court on Thursday, March 10, 2011 and Access Hollywood was on the scene with all of the updates from inside the courtroom.

The actress appeared before a judge to potentially resolve the alleged theft of a $2,500 necklace, to which the actress previously pleaded not guilty.

Lohan and attorney Shawn Chapman Holley have three possible options today in court: The actress could accept a plea deal, go to trial or ask for a continuance, which would allow Lohan more time to consider a possible deal with the prosecution.

9:24 AM PST: Lindsay exits the courthouse with her mom and sister and is driven away in a black SUV.

9:19 AM: Lindsay rejects the plea deal offered by prosecutors. The actress will have another chance to accept the plea deal during a hearing on March 25. If Lindsay does not accept the plea deal at that time, the case will continue with a preliminary hearing on April 22 with Judge Stephanie Sautner.

As court ended, the actress spoke briefly spoke to her attorney then joined mom Dina and sister Ali, who wrapped their arm around her older sister.

9:04 AM: Lindsay arrived with mom Dina and sister Ali. The actress is wearing a beige top, black pants and was sporting sunglasses.

8:53 AM: Judge Schwartz asks, “Where’s your client?”
Holley replies, “Your honor, you said yesterday, 9 AM.”
Judge replies, “Oh, I can’t read my own writing!”

8:51 AM: Lindsay’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, showed up in court without the actress. Holley said Lindsay is expected to arrive at 9 AM.

8:44 AM: Lindsay is spotted leaving her house in Venice, Calif.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, at last month’s court appearance Lohan received a harsh warning from Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz during a hearing for the alleged theft of the $2,500 necklace.

Judge Schwartz told Lindsay that he would sentence her to jail if she accepted a plea deal from prosecutors by pleading guilty or no contest. Lindsay is still on probation from her 2007 drunken driving case.

After her first court appearance in February, Lohan proclaimed her innocence via Twitter and Facebook.
