Access Star Sightings: December 7 – 11

Thursday, December 11 in NYC — Michael Phelps stepped out of the pool and in to the Big Apple for a book signing… Elsewhere, Brad Pitt’s co-star, Taraji Henson, who plays his mother in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” sparkled in her Pamella Roland orange taffeta cocktail dress and Judith Ripka jewels at the screening of their Golden Globe nominated film at the Tribeca Grand… Mary-Kate Olsen also made an appearance… Meanwhile, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon fended off the paparazzi who hit up the couple about pregnancy rumors as they stepped out on the streets of NYC… In another part of town, Ciara shopped in the rain in SoHo at French Connection and Armani Exchange, trying on boots, accessories and jackets, and picking up holiday gifts for her family and friends.

… And in LA — Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer made their first red carpet appearance — but not together — at the premiere of her new movie, “Marley and Me.” The two both joked separately about Jen’s sexy naked GQ cover… “90210” star Shenae Grimes was also spotted hanging out with friends and munching on chocolate bundt cakes at the Pepsi Holiday House in Hollywood Hills.

… And in Oslo — Diana Ross performed at the Nobel Peace Prize concert hosted by Scarlett Johansson and Michael Caine.

Wednesday, December 10 in NYC — Leighton Meester went to the Museum of the City to film “Gossip Girl” scenes.

… And in LA — Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake appeared at the Make the Difference Network’s holiday party benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles at Social Hollywood. The stars – including Garcelle Beauvais, came out to support Jessica and to help raise over $75,000 for CHLA during the live auction co-hosted by Jessica, Justin and Kevin James… Elsewhere, Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron shopping for furniture at Design Within Reach in West Hollywood.

Tuesday, December 9 in NYC — Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kevin Bacon, “Gossip Girl” cast members Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick and Diane Kruger and boyfriend Joshua Jackson hung out at the Ray-Ban Remasters event celebrating the re-launch of the Clubmaster sunglasses…The Will Smith family all out came to show support for Jaden Smith’s role in his new movie, “The Day the Earth Stood Still” — Keanu Reeves and a noticeably skinny Jennifer Connelly, who also stars in the film, walked the red carpet…

And in LA — Angelina Jolie in her favorite hummus colored sashay peep-toe Stuart Weitzman pumps, hit the red carpet at the premiere of her friend Clint Eastwood’s film “Gran Torino,” Clint’s latest directorial effort… Kim Basinger was spotted at the world premiere of “While She Was Out” at the Arclight Theatre… Kim Kardashian and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, Hayden Panettiere, Shenae Grimes, Lacey Schwimmer, Jesse McCartney and Holly Montag hung out at the Ubisoft Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party video game launch party at Apple Lounge… New moms Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Nicole Richie hung side-by-side at the “Without You I’m Just Me” art show featuring original artwork by Pete Wentz. The two were overheard chatting about their babies, exchanging baby secrets and dramas and saying cheers to a fun night out with friends over Venom Energy “mocktails.”

… And in Miami — Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Bethenny Frankel and her new, hot mystery man were spotted drinking Skinnygirl Frangelico Martinis and getting very close on the dance floor at the Florida Room… Ocean Drive Magazine cover girl Pam Anderson showed up around midnight to her Lucid Absinthe sponsored soiree at LIV in the Fontainebleau hotel. She spent all night at her table, sandwiched in between photographer David LaChapelle and drag queen and DJ, Lady Bunny… She did stand up for a while though when she made a big show of kissing a bunch of the guys at her table, including LaChapelle (multiple times).

Monday, December 8, 2008 in NYC — Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos came out to raise funds for Baby Buggy, a charity started by Jerry Seinfeld’s wife Jessica that provides baby products to families in need.

… And in LA — Brad Pitt’s parents flew out from Missouri to attend the black-tie premiere of Brad’s new film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” They posed with Brad and Angelina on the red carpet and then Angelina did interviews with Brad’s parents while Brad talked to the press by himself… Elsewhere, Ryan Seacrest and 32 ladies (from his show “Momma’s Boys”) dined with together at The Ivy.

Sunday, December 7 in NYC — John Malkovich celebrated his Gotham magazine cover with his new “SNL” buddies — Rachel Dratch and Will Forte at Ilili Restaurant.

…And in LA — Vivica A. Fox stepped out to dine at Katsuya in Hollywood with a girlfriend.

Saturday, December 6 in Vegas — Russell Crowe, Eva Longoria, and Good Charlotte brothers Benji and Joel Madden ate dinner at the N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms Casino Resort.

…And in Atlantic City — DJ AM spun to an enthusiastic crowd at Mur.Mur at Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa, his first time at the resort since his plane crash.

Random sightings in NYC – “Lipstick Jungle” heartthrob Rob Buckley shopped for holiday gifts for himself, friends and family at French Connection Soho… TV correspondent Lisa Ling enjoyedcocktails and appetizers with girlfriends by the fireplace at the Empire Hotel Rooftop … Donatella Versace was seen shopping for Upper Echeleon Shoes, “Shoewelry,” at Hirshleifers boutique. 

… And in LA — Nick Cannon stepped out, shopping for the holidays at American Eagle… “90210’s” AnnaLynne McCord shopped for some cold-weather clothes at Armani Exchange on Sunset Blvd.

…And in Phoenix — Tennis star Maria Sharapova, with her hair still wet from the gym and sporting black Hudson jeans, a gray Graham and Spencer tank top, and black flats, worked two Blackberry’s (one per hand), while on a photo shoot for Women’s Health Magazine. The magazine hits newsstands Tuesday, December 23rd.
