Adam Lambert Accused Of Misdemeanor Battery After Photographer Scuffle

Adam Lambert’s day at the beach in Miami on Thursday ended in a scuffle with a photographer.

“Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach!” the glam rocker Tweeted on Thursday. “They’re real good at provoking, but there ain’t any pics or video of the b.s. they spew out… Haha well… I lost my temper for a sec but wow it felt great lol MIAMI!!!”

According to the police report – obtained by Access Hollywood – the photographer involved in the incident is accusing the singer of misdemeanor battery. The report states that Adam, “became angry and started running towards” the photographer “in an aggressive manner” after the snapper began taking pictures of the singer. The report goes on to say that Adam, “wrestled the victim to the ground forcefully.”

The police report notes that the photographer did not sustain any bruises or lacerations during the incident.

According to TMZ, which first reported the news, authorities are reportedly deciding if the case will be turned over to Florida’s State’s Attorney Office, who would decide whether or not to prosecute the former “American Idol” contestant.

After photographs of the incident surfaced online, Adam – who was dressed in board shorts, a tank top and a big straw hat – Tweeted his thoughts on his beach attire.

“Hahha the photos are hilarious !! Lol please everyone forgive me for that hat. – I was attempting a disguise- clearly failed. Hahah,” the glam singer wrote.

On Friday, Adam denied the allegations, Tweeting, “Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground…. It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime- thats all I’m guilty of.”

A rep for the singer was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood.
