Adam Sandler Takes Over For David Letterman

NEW YORK (March 20, 2007) — David Letterman is being replaced.

But worry not, late night fans, his stand-in is stepping up to the desk for one night only.

Former “Saturday Night Live” funnyman turned box-office star Adam Sandler will fill in for Dave on tonight’s broadcast.

Adam will get a chance to pry into the psyche of his “Reign Over Me” co-star Don Cheadle. Other stars set to face Sandler’s probing? IRL auto racing star Danica Patrick and musical guest Lucinda Williams.

Sandler handily stepped up to the plate after Letterman went home earlier today with a stomach flu. Comedian Todd Barry will also be a guest on the show.
