Its Prom season and Access Hollywoods Tony Potts is going to the main event.
Actually, he corrects us, Its a prom fashion show where we show you how to get that famous celebrity dress, for less.
When a celebrity wears a certain look and it looks amazing you feel confident wearing clothes that look like your favorite celebrities, Seventeen magazine Entertainment Director Carissa Rosenberg explains.
But just how do you do it? With Carissas help we threw a prom featuring the hottest star looks, all for under $300.
Reese shone in bright yellow Nina Ricci at this years Golden Globes, a perfect color for spring. It was Reese’s coming out party at the Golden Globes, Tony said. For many girls prom is their coming out party so why not be wearing a bright yellow dress, Carissa suggested. |

We don’t want to do an Alexis Carrington Dynasty thing from back in the 80’s right, Tony suggests. Metallics are everywhere on the red carpet from teen queen Emma Roberts to style icon Sienna Miller. But there are major dos and dont s for this look. To make it modern is to not over accessorize and to have it short and simple, Carissa notes. Glenna’s dress is inspired by what Sienna Miller wore, Carissa says of this models number. She has black opaque tights on so she’s definitely more covered up. She has the shimmer but she’s not totally exposed. |

Ok, now we go from that to oh lord it’s a mini, Tony exclaims. Dads like Tony may not like the look, but minis are everywhere. Ashlee Simpson showed major leg in silver Brian Reyes. But, Tony asks Carissa, is this dress really prom friendly? It’s a mini dress but it’s not tight to her figure, she offers. |

The goddess look is all about long and dramatic like Jennifer Lopezs sexy number and Mischa Bartons Marchesa. | |
Mischa Barton is such a fashionistas who wouldn’t want to look like her, Carissa suggests. Its beautiful, its flowy, and its comfortable to dance in because there’s room. |
