Alan Thicke & Wife Just Joking About Having Sex To Robin Thicke Songs

Dear Robin Thicke, you can stop erasing all of your music from your dad’s computer – the comment about him getting down to your sweet jams was just a joke!

The world had a collective “Ewww!” last week, when Alan Thicke’s wife Tanya Callau, 40, commented that she and Alan, 68, play Robin’s music (specifically “Sex Therapy”) to get in the mood. On Monday’s Access Hollywood Live, the “Unusually Thicke” couple cleared up Tanya’s comment.

“This [was] a total joke and it was my joke. I just want to set the record straight. I’m the one that said it,” she told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

“We were playing this newlywed game doing promos for our show and they asked a question, ‘What is Tanya’s favorite Robin Thicke song?’ And Alan said, ‘Shooter.’ And for the fun of it, I wanted to get a rise out of him. I said, ‘Sex Therapy,’ as a joke, just to have a little fun,” she explained.

Us Weekly reported that Tanya said, “When we do get freaky, we love [Robin’s song] ‘Sex Therapy,’…You have to admit, it’s a great song to get in the mood.”

Tanya was surprised how her joke turned into such a story.

“Everyone jumped on board [saying] Alan is a freak, how could you?” she said.

After the news spread Robin Tweeted, “Dad… I need you to give back all of my music. Immediately.”

As for Alan, he’s not picky about what’s on his bedroom playlist.

“First of all, I am happy to be her boy-toy trophy husband. I think she is hot and I’m shallow. Any kind of music is gonna work,” he joked. “In the elevator, there was almost a problem, they were playing music!”

“Unusually Thicke” airs Wednesdays at 8:30 PM on Pop.
