Alec Baldwin: 30 Rock Has Been ‘The Greatest Job That I’ve Ever Had In My Life’

“30 Rock” is in the middle of its march toward the comedy series’ finale, and star Alec Baldwin said people have already been a little weepy behind the scenes.

“Oh, everybody,” Alec told Access Hollywood’s Michelle Beadle on Friday at the “Rise of the Guardians” film junket, when she asked who has been misty eyed from the cast.

“[There are] tears already. They’re sad,” the actor, who plays television executive Jack Donaghy on the Tina Fey show, said. “Everybody’s [accepted] it because we knew it had to happen.”

Alec said he is OK with moving forward, but working at “30 Rock” has been rewarding.

“I’ve adjusted to the idea of the thrill of what’s next and… I’m accepting of that, but this is the greatest job that I’ve ever had in my life,” he said. “We did a read through… yesterday for next week’s script and it is as insane — I am hard to make laugh because I’ve been at this for so long, but we did this script and we were all just gagging laughing. It was so funny.”

The actor said he hopes to take just one item from the set to remember it by – a poster.

“I want one of the movie posters from Tracy Jordan’s office for the fictional films he did,” Alec said. “The one I want is ‘Sherlock Homie,’ where Tracy – as Sherlock Holmes – has a magnifying glass on the butt of the woman wearing gold lame pants.” (Click HERE to see that poster!)

“Rise of the Guardians” hits theaters on November 21. “30 Rock” airs Thursdays at 8/7c on NBC.
