Alec Baldwin Dishes On ‘30 Rock’s’ Future; Is The Series Ending In 2012?

Are Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy’s comedic high jinks on NBC’s “30 Rock” coming to and end in 2012?

According to series star Alec Baldwin, the Emmy Award-winning comedy is ending next year.

“I will tell you one thing,” Alec told New York Magazine’s Vulture blog earlier this week in New York City. “And that is our show next year is our last year of the show.”

Adding, “Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She’s going to be the next Elaine May. She’ll be great.”

A rep for Tina declined to comment when contacted by the mag. A rep for NBC also declined to comment when contacted by Access Hollywood on Wednesday.

A source close to the show told Access that there have been no official conversations about the show ending in 2012.
