Alex Rodriguez met with his estranged wife, Cynthia, and the couple’s oldest daughter, Natasha, on Friday, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
The meeting took place at a hotel in Toronto, where Alex is in town as his New York Yankees play the Toronto Blue Jays.
It is the first time A-Rod saw his wife or his three-year-old daughter since the couple split earlier this month.
“Yes, they met. Yes, he saw Natasha,” a source confirmed to Access.
Alex and Cynthia met in an attempt to put aside their differences, however, they are still moving forward with their divorce, the source added.
On July 7, Cynthia filed for divorce from the baseball superstar, citing her husband’s “extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct.”
The split came on the heels of widespread reports of A-Rod’s rumored romance with Madonna, which the pop superstar denied.
Earlier this week, a source close to A-Rod told Access Hollywood the baseball star has been “very depressed about not being able to see his girls.”
Meanwhile, according to a column by the New York Post’s Cindy Adams on Thursday, Cynthia Rodriguez said her oldest daughter, Natasha, had been heard saying, “I miss my daddy.”
The couple also has an 11-week-old daughter, Ella.
No further details on A-Rod’s reunion with his daughter were immediately available.
