Alex Trebek ‘Resting Comfortably’ After Heart Attack

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (December 11, 2007) – “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek suffered a minor heart attack, Access Hollywood has learned.

A rep for the legendary game show host released the following statement to Access on Tuesday:

“Alex Trebek, host of ‘Jeopardy!,’ has had a minor heart attack. He is resting comfortably in a Los Angeles hospital, and he will be back in the studio for the next scheduled tapings in January.”

Trebek, 67, was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center late Monday night and was expected to remain there about two days for tests and observation, a rep for the show told the Associated Press.

No further information was immediately available.
