Alexa Havins On ‘All My Children’ Return: ‘The Chandler Clan Will Be Surprised’

Alexa Havins long ago left Pine Valley behind, but the actress is getting ready to return to “All My Children” with real life husband (and former “AMC” co-star) Justin Bruening.

“Yeah, it’s fun,” the actress told Access Hollywood at Comic-Con 2011 in San Diego as she promoted her new TV vehicle, Starz show “Torchwood: Miracle Day,” of heading back to her soap opera roots.

“When we heard the show was coming to an end, [from] our point [of view], it’s just one last hurrah and tip the hats for the fans and say, ‘Thank you,’” Alexa said of the couple’s reasons for reprising their roles – Alexa as Babe Chandler, and Justin again donning the guise of Jamie Martin.

How they plan on bringing Babe back, however, isn’t clear just yet.

“Babe is dead, so I don’t know where we’re gonna go with it,” she laughed. “I have a sneaking suspicion, but I’m gonna wait for the reveal.”

Alexa did confirm there should be a scene or two with her former on screen love/hate interest, JR Chandler, played by Jacob Young

“There’s gonna be some JR interaction and Babe’s gonna go… I think the Chandler clan will be surprised,” she said.

“All My Children” wraps its ABC run in September. Meanwhile fans can catch Alexa on Friday night’s at 10 PM on “Torchwood: Miracle Day” on Starz.
