All An Act? Heidi & Spencer Pratt Promoting Shampoo Product On ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’

Heidi Pratt turned on the waterworks earlier this week when her fellow “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here” castmembers tore the label off her dry shampoo bottle after she and her husband, Spencer Pratt, quit the show for the second time.

But now it appears it wasn’t just the stress of having their things ruffled while they were gone that brought on the tears. Access Hollywood has learned that the TV blonde is set to launch her own line of dry shampoo, which she and her husband have attempted to subversively promote on the NBC reality show.

On Monday’s episode, Spencer let loose on Angela Shelton, from comedy duo Frangela, and former pro-Wrestler Torrie Wilson after he learned they tore the label off of Heidi’s dry shampoo bottle. After knocking Angela’s water bottle from her hand, Spencer slammed the stars for messing with his wife’s belongings.

“Why would you do that? How dare your disrespect my wife’s possessions like that,” Spencer screamed.

“I’m not gonna chill out. I actually made this label and it took me all day,” he yelled later as he held the black shampoo canister in the camera frame. “Arts and crafts… I’m not gonna calm down. I’m already fired up.”

Heidi too appeared upset over the incident – with confessional camera style footage showing “The Hills” star red faced and sobbing, while holding the dry shampoo canister.

“They’re just being so mean and they completely took off all my labels and everything on my dry shampoo,” she wailed.

Reports surfaced on the Web on Wednesday suggesting that Heidi had a deal with QVC to sell her upcoming line of dry shampoo, but when contacted by Access, a rep for the TV shopping portal shot down the rumor.

“We currently do not have anything in the works with Heidi Pratt,” the QVC rep said.

Access has learned that the show provides the cast basic necessities and hygiene products including shampoo, soap and toothpaste. However, each star was allowed to bring one luxury item with them into the jungle.

While Heidi and Spencer chose to bring her dry shampoo product, the other celebrities opted for more creature comforts.

Angela brought a line to hang wet clothes on, Frances Callier brought leather gloves, Janice Dickinson packed Egyptian face cream, John Salley brought a digital camera, Lou Diamond Phillips pocketed photos of his family, Patti Blagojevich took a makeup compact, Sanjaya brought sports balls, Torrie opted for self-tanning lotion and Stephen Baldwin took toothpicks.

Additionally, the celebrities were allowed to bring three pairs of underwear and three bathing suits. They were given clothing to wear on the show.

In related “I’m A Celebrity…” news, producers confirmed details Access reported on Monday — Stephen’s brother Daniel Baldwin is joining the show.
