Amal Clooney Dubbed Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating Person Of 2014

When you finally get one of Hollywood’s most infamous bachelors to say “I do,” you are officially the most fascinating person of 2014.

That honor was bestowed upon Amal Clooney by Barbara Walters on Sunday night, as the TV legend revealed her annual “Most Fascinating” list.

“How do I introduce her?” Barbara began her segment on Amal – who tied the knot with George Clooney in Italy in September. “I guess the question is, what does it take to fascinate one of the most fascinating men in the world? She is known primarily through her spouse, and while we know little about her, we know a great deal about him. And he has fascinated many women—especially me.”

In fact, when it came to getting George Clooney to settle down, Barbara called Amal’s feat one of the “greatest achievements in human history,” and suggested that the 36-year-old bombshell attorney now belongs in the “stratosphere that we reserve for the Jackie Os, Princess Dis and Kate Middletons.”

“Everything she does, says or wears is officially fascinating,” Barbara said of this year’s top choice.
