Amanda Bynes Arrested On Suspicion Of Driving Under Influence Of Alcohol

Actress Amanda Bynes was arrested on Friday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the former “What I Like About You” star was pulled over in West Hollywood, at the intersection of Robertson Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd.

Bynes was driving a black BMW and tried to pass a deputy’s vehicle on the right when she allegedly hit the right, rear quarter of the deputy’s car, authorities said.

Police claim the incident resulted in minor paint damage on both cars, and led to Bynes being pulled over.

The deputy conducted an investigation at the scene and the actress was arrested on suspicion on driving under the influence of alcohol and booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. Bail was set at $5,000.

A booking photo of the star, released on Friday, showed the actress with heavy eye makeup and a pink hue to her normally blond locks.

A rep for the actress did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Access Hollywood on Friday.
