Amanda Bynes is following in the fashion school footsteps of Lauren Conrad and Monique Lhuillier and reportedly thriving.
“She’s a great student who always participated and really cared about her classes,” a source told E! News. “She really fit in and loves her school.”
The 27-year-old headline-making actress, who finished a six-month stay in rehab last December, has been studying at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising at their Orange County campus(the same school Lauren and Monique studied), where she finished her first quarter and plans on continuing her studies.
“If she was offered an acting job anytime soon, she may not take it because she’s so focused on school,” the source said.
Adding, “Amanda’s really talented at what she does so the picture is the real deal. She’s only just beginning.”
On March 1, the actress Tweeted, “Hi everyone! I’m busy studying at @FIDM but I want to say I love you to my fans! Xoxo Amanda.”

Amanda’s latest run is a far cry from last year’s behavior, which included a slew of bizarre Tweets where she lashed out at numerous Hollywood names, including Miley Cyrus, Drake and Zac Efron.
