Amanda Seyfried and actor Dominic Cooper may have gone their separate ways, but the “Lovelace” actress said he will always be in her life.
“We love each other,” she told ELLE magazine, which features the starlet on its August 2013 cover. “He’ll always be in my life regardless of what his girlfriends or future wife think. I’m never going to be with a guy that can’t deal with my friendship with him.”
In the candid interview, excerpts of which were released on Thursday, Amanda also opened up about her need for physical attraction in her relationships.
“Everybody I’ve dated I’ve been sexually attracted to immediately,” she said. “Sparks don’t grow — your vagina doesn’t become more inclined to wanting someone just because you’re around them.”
Amanda has a current crush, and without revealing his name, she dished on the mystery man to the mag.
“[He’s] someone separate from my industry life — I’ve known him since he was 16… I picture him as the father of my children all the time,” she said. “But it is a fantasy right now.”
The actress also discussed her role in “Lovelace,” about porn star Linda Lovelace.
“I read the script and I was like, ‘Wow, this is the riskiest thing that’s happening [in Hollywood] right now.’ The first thing you think about is that it could have ruined my career,” she said. “At the same time, I was like, ‘This is my chance to show them, to show the industry, to be recognized.’”
“Lovelace” hits theaters on August 9.
