AMC’s ‘Preacher’ Gets Premiere Date

AMC’s “Preacher” has a premiere date.

The upcoming series, based on the comic books from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, will make its
debut on Sunday, May 22 at 10 PM ET/PT on the cable network, following the
mid-season finale of “Fear the Walking Dead.”

“Preacher,” which is produced by Seth Rogen and
Evan Goldberg, stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, a West Texas preacher who develops an unusual power after being
inhabited by a mysterious entity. Ruth Negga plays his ex-girlfriend, Tulip, while Joseph Gilgun plays Irish vagabond Cassidy.
