America Ferrera, Jerry Stiller To Guest Star On ‘Good Wife’; CBS Renews ‘Big Bang’ For 3 More Seasons

America Ferrera is going from “Ugly” to “Good.”

A rep for CBS confirmed that the former “Ugly Betty” star will join the cast of “The Good Wife” as a guest star, playing Natalie, a graduate student, set to shakeup campaign manager Eli’s (played by Alan Cumming) romantic life.

“We’ve been watching and loving America for years now on ‘Ugly Betty,’” executive producer Robert King said, according to TV Line. “And it’ll be fantastic to see her take on a completely different role, especially one that puts her across from Alan Cumming.”

Also joining the series in a guest role is former “Seinfeld” veteran Jerry Stiller (Ben Stiller’s dad).

Jerry will play a judge that Diane (played by Christine Baranski) encounters – a judge who has a sleep disorder. Unfortunately for Diane, Jerry’s character has a penchant for falling asleep during the trial, a CBS rep told Access.

The episode featuring the two stars will air in February, the CBS rep noted.

In related news from the network, the popular series “The Big Bang Theory” has been given a big leash on life.

CBS renewed the comedy for three years, meaning it will air into the 2013-2014 season.
