‘American Idol’ Moves On To Hollywood Week As Favorites Rise & Falter

“American Idol” kicked off Season 10’s Hollywood Week on Thursday and a host of favorites hit the stage in front of the judges, attempting to prove they had the goods to be the show’s next superstar.

Judge Randy Jackson set the tone for the latest “Idol” competition phase, telling the contestants they had just one shot to impress the panel, and while many of the contenders did, but quite a few early standouts faltered.

Those who moved on included:

Redheaded 16-year-old Brett Loewenstern, who auditioned in New Orleans, and shared his tale of overcoming bullying

Waitress Rachel Zevita, 23, who auditioned in New York

Casey Abrams, 19, the beardy boy with a gravelly voice who impressed quickly in Austin

Paris Tassen, the 23-year-old brunette beauty whose daughter has severe disabilities

The Adam Lambert-esque James Durbin, 21, who impressed with his high-flying pipes in San Francisco

Lauren Aliana, 15, the teen who sang “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” with Steven Tyler in her audition (her parent’s favorite song)

Chris Medina, 27, whose devotion to his wheelchair-bound fiancé Juliana made even the judges emotional

Cherubic-faced 15-year-old Jacee Badeaux

Robbie Rosen, the young Andy Samberg look-a-like from New York, who overcame a serious accident and learned to walk again

Rob Bolin, 23, one half of the former couple who auditioned and shared their story of being broken-up, Bolin in particular being the broken-hearted party

Chelsee Oaks, 23, the other half of the broken-up couple

Jacqueline Dunford, 22, one half of the loved-up couple who auditioned together

Scotty McCreery, 17, the baby-faced teen with the deep, deep country voice

Jersey Girl Tiffany Rios, 21, who had stars on her bikini top during her audition

White House Intern and Obama-lsuperfan Molly DeWolf Swenson

The Guitierez brothers, who auditioned together in LA

And Stefano Langoni, who learned to walk after a tragic accident, which nearly killed him

Those who went home included:

Victoria Huggins, the 17-year-old Southern Belle, who documented her journey on YouTube

Stormi Henley, 20, the former Miss Teen USA

Accountant Steve Beghun, 27, who auditioned in Milwaukee

Nick Fink, the boyfriend of Jacqueline Dunford (although she made it through)

Travis Orlando, 17, the twin who spent two years living in a shelter with his family
