‘American Idol’s’ Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze Land Record Deals

Crystal Bowersox may not have won the “American Idol” title, but she’s got a record deal.

The mother-of-one, who joined the competition to help give her little son a better life, has signed to Jive Records, a source close to the singer told Access Hollywood.

The source also confirmed that winner Lee DeWyze has landed on RCA Records.

Interestingly, Lee is on the same label as last season’s runner-up, Adam Lambert, Season 7 winner David Cook and Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson. Former Season 5 contender Chris Daughtry’s band, Daughtry, is also on their imprint.

Crystal will share a label with last year’s “Idol” winner, Season 8’s Kris Allen, as well as Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks and Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta. Other artists on the label include Britney Spears, Ciara, Chris Brown and Usher.

Billboard.com was first to report the news of the deals for Lee and Crystal.
