Amy Adams On Her Next Role: ‘It’s Going To Be An Amy Adams Butt Show’

Amy Adams earned her second Oscar nomination this year for a role as a naive young nun in “Doubt,” but in an interview in the February/March issue of BlackBook, she revealed that one of her upcoming roles would let audiences see a new side of her.

She’ll play Amelia Earhart alongside Ben Stiller in the upcoming “A Night At The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” — in tight pants.

”Tight jodhpurs,” Amy told the mag. “It’s going to be an Amy Adams butt show. I was like, ‘That’s a lot of information.’ I’m not known for showing my ass on camera, but there it is.”

Indeed, the actress — who earned her first Oscar nom for her breakthrough role in 2005’s “Junebug” — is better known for her innocent characters than any on-screen antics.

”I misbehave,” she said. “I just do it in private.”

”A Night at the Museum 2” is due in May, but first the busy actress will star in the Sundance hit “Sunshine Cleaning,” out March 13.

In the film, she plays a single mom — one who wears the pants in the family.

”We went a couple of different ways with my character, Rose. One was the ‘mom jeans’ way, and then there was the pseudo-prostitute version,” she said, noting that she wound up in Lucky Brand jeans and khakis. “That was a real battle. I said… I am not wearing a dress.”
