Late singer Amy Winehouse has been honored on what would have been her 31st birthday with a life-size statue in her beloved Camden Town neighborhood of north London.
Winehouseââ¬â¢s many fans will have no problem recognizing the singer, who is portrayed sporting her distinctive beehive hairdo.
Winehouseââ¬â¢s father Mitch said Sunday it was ââ¬Åincredibly emotionalââ¬Â to see the statue.

ââ¬ÅIt is like stopping her in a beautiful moment in time,ââ¬Â he said. ââ¬ÅWe really hope Amyââ¬â¢s fans love the statue.ââ¬Â
Winehouse died three years ago after battling drug and alcohol abuse. Her family has set up a foundation to help young people struggling with similar problems.
