Ariana Grande & Jessie J’s ‘The Boy Is Mine’ Remake In Question

Will “The Boy Is Mine” be theirs?

Music fans, many outraged, were stunned to hear that Ariana Grande and Jessie J were remaking Brandy and Monica’s 1998 hit, “The Boy Is Mine,” but this reported remake might not actually be happening.

Producer Rodney Jenkins reportedly told Hits Daily Double that the “Bang Bang” singers would team up again for the remake, but now E! News is reporting otherwise.

“It’s absolutely not happening,” a source said.

According to E!, both singers knew nothing about the reported project.

“Neither Ariana or Jessie knew a thing about this until all these reports came out. It totally came out of left field,” the source continued.

“The Boy Is Mine” appeared on Brandy’s album, “Never Say Never,” and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine.” Brandy and Monica, who didn’t get along while recording the hit together, won the Best R&B Performance by a Duo or a Group for the song.
